I worked in this building for five years, never knowing it was on the NRHP. One, careful look at the intricate detail which went into its design, it is easy to see that back in the day, this type of architecture was not only appreciated but also the standard. Our other district schools that were built in the 70s and 80s, in comparison to this site, do not hold a candle to this school. The architectural integrity is unappreciated and unnoticed in an area of urban decay and poverty.
