Aldridge Hotel is significant because at the time of its construction (1929-1930) it was the only large full service hotel in the area. The eleven story brick hotel reflects the economic prosperity of the town at that time. The hotel was vacant for some year but now has been converted to apartments with businesses on the first floor.
