The benchmark cap is set in a lava surface located about 110 feet northeast of old highway centerline. The cap was set by the Oregon Department of Transportation in 1929 and was stamped 14, 3822 feet, 1929.

THIS MARK IS ABOUT 10.3 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 20 FROM THE POST OFFICE AT MILLICAN, DESCHUTES COUNTY, 0.5 MILE SOUTHEAST OF THE SUMMIT OF A HILL, ON THE SOUTHEAST SLOPE OF A HILL, IN THE TOP OF A LAVA ROCK OUTCROP, 107 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF THE HIGHWAY, 4 FEET EAST OF A REFERENCE POST.
