This plaque is located on the Parade Grounds in Letchworth State Park. It is one of two plaques placed here by the State of New York in 1933. Both plaques read:
136th New York Infantry
2nd Brig. 2nd Div. 11th Corps mustered on this field September 26, 1862.
Col. James Wood Jr.
Lieut. Col. Lester B. Faulkner
Maj. David C. Hartshorn
Mustered out at Washington D.C. June 13, 1865
Erected by the State of New York 1933
The other side of the stone monument contains a plaque that reads:
First New York Dragoons
