This impressive indian trail tree is located in Silver Lake State Park, New York. It is located nearby a field in an open stand of hardwoods. The tree may have been part of a trail system that skirted natives around Silver Lake, which is located nearby this site. Although the field nearby is used for farming purposes, the land does indeed belong to the State. So visitors are welcome to park along West Lake Road (or somewhere safe in the vicinity) and follow the edge of the field in order to access this magnificent tree.

Silver Lake State Park is located near the south end of Silver Lake in the Town of Perry in Wyoming County, New York. The park offers picnic tables, hiking, fishing, seasonal deer and small game hunting, cross-country skiing, and a boat launch.
