This marker is at the SW corner of the golf course in Ellsworth. It is north across the fence from where the Kanopolis low road intersects with the highway at the south edge of town.

The Cowboy at Drover's Mercantile guided me to this marker. He has a wealth of knowledge about Kansas western history. He also has everything a cowboy or frontiersman needs to hit the trail.
The Cowboy says that this marker appears to be out of place and may have been moved from its original location. The marker is in good shape and the grove in the top runs SSE to NW.
