Located in Beaumont Kansas , the Frisco wooden water tower was built in 1885. It's primary purpose was to service steam locomotives, furnish water for boilers and to clean them and for Fire protection, and for other general needs in the local area.
Friends of the Beaumont Water Tower was founded in 1989 and raised funds to preserve the Water Tower. Preservation was complete in 1998.
In 1993 the water tower was accepted into the State and National Register as a Historic site.
