This greenhouse uses heat from the local hot springs (165 degrees F at spring head) to keep the greenhouse warm all year - even during the minus 5O degree winters). All power is also supplied by the world's ONLY low temp (below 200 degrees) geothermal power plant which is also located on the property. Seven types of lettuce and seven types of tomatoes are grown here hydroponically and used in the resort's restaurant - talk about fresh!
