Giant butterfly sculptures abound in this remembrance garden along the entrance to the Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The best thing about these giant butterflies is they double as seats. It is a very beautiful memorial.

The Northeast Philadelphia Butterfly Memorial Garden is located near the Northeast Philadelphia Airport off Grant Avenue. It was created in 2004 to remember those children and siblings who left this earth before their time. I have been reading other articles and viewing pictures of this garden and it seems in the Spring & Summer, this place is just magnificent. The walkways and center section are filled with flowers.
The garden was designed to be a place of reflection and peace for grieving families. Initially, to raise money donor bricks were sold for $35 apiece. The bricks are personalized with a three-line inscription. They now line the paths on either side of the garden.
