"The Geddes Dam was rebuilt in a major construction project, and this hydroelectric dam operated from 1915-1959. It is no longer extant. The noted landscape architecture firm of Frederick Law Olmstead was commissioned to design naturalistic landscapes for large tracts of the companies land. "

"Geddes Dam is on the Huron River in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Construction was completed in 1920. At normal levels it has a surface area of 261 acres. It is owned by the City Of Ann Arbor.
Geddes Dam is of earthen construction, a gravity dam. Its height is 28 feet with a length of 274 feet. Maximum discharge is 10490 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 3100 acre feet. Normal storage is 4250 acre feet. It drains an area of 765 square miles. "
