The Eire Lackawanna Trail uses the relatively wide right-of-way of the old railroad to add a few meanders to the pavement rather than the typical straight pavement.
There is enough parking here to for about a dozen cars and enough grass for dogs to play and romp for a little while - under close human supervision, of course. A little pavilion with benches gives the weary walker a time to catch his/her breath before returning home.
Since the entire length is paved, only walking, biking, and rollerblading are permitted. Motorized vehicles and horses are not permitted.
Right at the crossing with Colfax Avenue, the path has been designed to resemble the old Eire Lackawanna symbol.
