Not your everyday covered wagon, but rather the ones that allowed the cattle drives to take place. Original chuck wagon in reasonably good shape.
Most chuck wagons were similar to standard covered wagon in that they were sturdy, four-wheeled wagons with bows across the top covered with waterproof sheets. The distinguishing characteristic was the box across the back width of the wagon which contained shelves and drawers for holding food and utensils. The box was closed off by a hinged lid that lowered to become a cook's worktable.
Photo to give you an idea of the size of this wagon. We have seen some in our travels that were double wide and had seats inside which were used during harvests on large farms. This one is smaller like the ones used on the trail usually were.
