Description of Memorial: Veterans Memorial of North Port settles into Veterans Park, which is comprised mostly of water. A large man-made waterfall greets visitors as they walk through the humble garden to the stone monument. The monument overlooks a gentle pond that is a favourite of ducks and aligators alike. A monument for peace after the 9-11 attacks is a suitable neighbour, as a U.S. flag and P.O.W. flag oversee both memorials.
