The Visitor Centre is open all year round, with longer opening hours in the summer time. The Visitor Centre houses a large amount of information for the area,It also has a gift shop There is a large car park and a picnic area at the Visitor Centre.
Carlingford nestles between Slieve Foy, Carlingford Lough and the Mourne mountains. A unique blend of natural beauty, spectacular panoramas, myths & legends combine with a modern day cultural infrastructure it has 11 reputable restaurants 10 cosy pubs, 30 places to stay, craft & antique shops, adventure centres, yacht charter, equestrian centre, golf courses, Cookery School and much more.
Walk the medieval streets of Carlingford and you can still see most of the original ancient buildings. Guided tours of this unique outdoor museum are available.
