Gregs Hut is a mountain shelter on the northern slope of Cross Fell; the highest peak in the Pennine chain at almost 3000'. Snow cover up to 100 days a year is possible with only 30 days clear viewing at the summit. Its 6 miles along the Pennine Way to Garrigill.
The hut is managed and maintained by the Mountain Bothies Association, a charity which maintains about 100 shelters in some of the remoter parts of the UK.
