Eugene was the end of the line for the Oregon Electric Railway. This caboose is located at the depot that has been transformed into a restaurant. The caboose is easily viewed from the public walkway that is adjacent to the caboose.

This caboose is located behind the
Oregon Electric Station restaurant on Willamette Street. It is coupled to a passenger car that serves as an office for the restaurant.
The Oregon Electric Railway's passenger depot in Eugene was the end of the line on what was once the largest interurban train line in Oregon.
The name on the caboose confuses me. I can't find a reference for a railway named Oregon Electric and Eastern. There was an Oregon Pacific & Eastern but I think the current name might be a mistaken repaint of an OP&E caboose or perhaps a rename since the caboose is at the Oregon Electric depot.
