Branthwaite Brow is a steep cobbled lane that runs from Stramongate into the Market Place. The gallery is a colourful display for shoppers as they walk up the lane and lots of people stop and admire the works in the window.
The local area includes the Lake District which often inspires artists. Landscapes and other themes from the area are often the subjects of both paintings and photographs.
A range of other themes can also be found from around the world. Recently there was a window full of paintings of dogs.
The gallery is also a good place to buy cards made from the art works.
