Murphey's Restaurant is currently up for sale.
Originally owned by Bill and Wanda Murphey.
It was sold in 1976 to Alice Hampton.
Bill Murphey's Restaurant is now located in what used to be the Baxter National Bank and the bank was allegedly robbed in 1914 by the infamous Henry Starr.
One of the many great stops we had toaday along Rt.66 after meeting up with GlobetrotterUS.
I hope she found as many great Waymarks as we did today.
It was a great visit and now I can put a face with a name.
There is also a great neon sign here I will add.
