This large museum has one of the largest collections of firefighting equipment dating from 1725 including hand-drawn and horse-drawn pumpers, hook-and-ladder wagons, helmets, uniforms, badges and vehicles dating 1800-1969.
There is also a wildland firefighting gallery that explains the history and techniques of fighting wildfires, an interactive fire safety exhibit and play area for children, artwork depicting major events in the history of fire service and the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes that recognizes firefighters who died in the line of duty and were decorated for bravery.
