Cranky Frank's BBQ Company is located at 1679 Hwy 87 South (Washington Street), about 1 1/2 miles south of Main Street in Fredericksburg, Texas.
The daily menu includes brisket, chicken, sausage, pork roast, pork ribs, and their famous chopped beef. Full plate orders include all-the-sides-you-can-eat served buffet style at a small serving station in the in-door dining room. The side dish buffet includes pinto beans, green beans, potato salad, coleslaw, and corn. Dessert is sliced peaches and vanilla pudding which is also at the buffet. For smaller appetites they also have sandwiches and stuffed potatoes.
The barbeque which is seasoned by hand and slow-cooked on fire-brick pits using 100% mesquite wood coals can also be bought by the pound in any quantity desired. That is as long as they don't run out. One of our favorites is the daily special which usually includes one meat of their choice, all the sides and a soda.
Seating capacity inside the restaurant is approximately 45, and for those times when there are more people than seats, or days you just want to enjoy the fresh Texas Hill Country air, they have covered outdoor picnic table seating.
