40 Feet Long x 8 Feet High, Dedicated October 30th, 1990.

This mural is #27 out of an eventual 100 whale-themed murals Wyland is painting around the world to raise awareness of these amazing marine mammals and the ocean world they live in. There is also a manatee, green sea turtle, and spotted ray on other panels across the door from the visitor center.

Visiting the mural requires access to the Crane Point Nature Center, which is well worth a visit in itself. Just behind the mural is an outdoor aquarium the size of a swimming pool, and a smaller aquarium with tide-pool invertebrates in it. Click on the link below to learn more about the nature center.
