Survey disc is set in a concrete post just up the bank at Point 9. It can be seen from the water.

TVA Surveyor emailed and informed me:
"This is a silt range monument set by TVA before the reservoir was built. They established these monuments before the reservoir was filled with water to estimate the amount of silt that would fill the reservoir over the years."
