The Poughkeepsie Train Station (which opened on February 18, 1918) lies in the city of Poughkeepsie and serves both Amtrak and Metro-North Railroads. It is the northern most stop for the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line lying 73.5 miles north of Grand Central Terminal, although the Amtrak trains continue north from here.
