According to the NRHP archive: The Euclid Avenue School is architectually significant as an intact, represntative example of early twentieth century electic style public architecture in Jamestown. Designed by local architect, C.C. Pedersen in 1911 and enlarged by the same architect in an identical design in 1920, the structure combines Neoclassical features and proportions with elements of the Spanish Mission and Craftsman styles in an exlectic composition that is characteristic of early twentieth century architectural fashion. Its clay tile roof is a particularly notable feature, one of the few known examples in western New York. The school was built to serve Jamestown's rapidly expanding northside neighborhood - a product of the city's rapid industrial and population growth around the turn of the century. At the time of its construction, the school exhibited many modern technical design innovations for public school design. Retaining an outstanding level of integrity, the Euclid Avenue School is historically significant for its association with the development of Jamestown in the early twentieth century.
