There was no web link to this park in particular, but I have a feeling that it was named for the nearby George Washington Fishing and Hunting Club (WM35ZR). The Niagara River has long been a fisherman's haven and this area is no excetion. You can no longer fish off the front porch, as the Niagara Section of the New York State Thruway runs along the river here, but there still are several spots that you can access the river....see the geocaches mentioned!
The park is mostly used as a beautiful place to walk and sit a spell, while watching the river go by.
