A great zoo for kids and adults. Lots of family activities and plenty of shade to get out of the hot tropical sun. Great animal displays from Thailand and around the world.

Today's zoo was once the king's garden. Rama V had it built as his private garden but after his death it was neglected for years. In 1938 Rama VIII gave it to the city to be used as a zoo. It's full of educational information including a museum as well as just fun family activities. Oh, and don't forget the monitor lizards that roam the edges of the water ways.
