Best access to Indian Head Mountain is via the Devils Path. Take Route 23A west through Tannersville. Make left onto Bloomer Rd. Bear left on Platte Clove Rd. After about 3 miles make right onto Prediger Rd.
Take the red blazed Devils Path trail, then bear right onto the blue blazed Jimmy Dolans Notch Trail. Then turn left onto the Devils Path and take it over the top. It's a steep hike of about 2 miles to the summit from parking.
There are no actual views at the summit. The viewpoints in the photos are about 1/4 mile to the east of the actual summit.
After checking out the views, continue on the Devils Path back to your car. Total hike is about 5 miles. It's moderate to difficult depending on your fitness level and some sections are steep enough to require the use of hands.
