Prominently displayed at one of the entrances to the 400 acre Columbia Park. This elevated object looks more like a jet aircraft than a boat and the similarities are noted in the name. It is a hydroplane. Specifically it is the U-98 a memorial to a racer who gave much to the sport and the local area. Additional information including video clips of actual races and wrecks can be viewed at HydroINSIDER.com.
