Born July 15, 1740. His stone bears nothing else except for fact. This veteran must have been in his late 30s or early 40s when he took his oath of allegiance to fight for our country's independence.

This grave is marked with a Revolutionary War green medallion. There is another one just in back of this one but the headstone is nothing more than a rocky nub resting at a peculiar angle in the ground.

This grave is with seven others and located directly east of the meeting house, about 20 feet away. I found it odd these graves are separate from the main cemetery which is in front of the meeting house, to the southwest. I found no explanation except since this is a Quaker meeting, and war and aggression are a major no-no, perhaps members felt compelled to bury them separate.
