This bronze statue of George Washington stands on a granite base. The front of the base is inscribed with the following: "First President of the United States 1789-1798. First Master, Alexandria Lodge No. 22, Alexandria, Virginia 1788-1789." Between George Washington and First President is the logo for the Freemasons. It was designed by J. Turkalj in 1976.
