The Peabody Hotel was designed by Walter W. Ahlschlager in a
Renaissance style. The hotel opened in 1925 and is known for its
luxury and class. The hotel is well known for its marching Peabody
Ducks which march across the Grand Lobby two times a day (11 am and
5 pm) to the to the tune of John Philip Sousa's “King Cotton March”
