The Oasis has many things to see and do both indoors and out. Inside you can walk under large fruit bats hanging upside down asleep (until feeding time!); watch the leaf cutter ants climbing up and down a rope bridge above your head carrying huge chunks of leaf; see birds and butterflies flying past; or be introduced to snakes and lizards by the staff.

Outside, the meerkats are always great fun to watch, while the lemurs and monkeys are particularly keen sunbathers. There are also many other animals to see. Several are kept as part of the endangered species breeding programme, including the rare fossa from Madagascar.

The Oasis is easily found along the A6 between Milnthorpe and Carnforth. See website for more details.
