This monument is a 22 feet high bronze monument created by Sally James Franham. The plaque on the monument reads:
1861 1865
ON FAME'S ETERNAL CAMPING GROUND
THEIR SILENT TENTS ARE SPREAD,
AND GLORY GUARDS WITH SOLEMN ROUND
THE BIVOUAC OF THE DEAD.
