There is a large parking area at Draycote Reservoir with toliets, refreshments and plenty of walking trails. There is a road which runs around the water's perimeter giving access direct to boating ramps and the shoreline such as this beach, but the general public must use the car parks provided which are Pay and Display. Dogs are not allowed around the reservoir but are throughout the Country Park site and there is disabled access to the perimeter of the reservoir but not onto the beach itself. There is no swimming.
Fishing is allowed from the shoreline between April and October and the whole reservoir is home to an impressive Sailing and Windsurfing Club. There are many picnic tables and grass areas to picnic and also excellent bird watching opportunities.
Draycote Water is 700 acres in total and offers a good day out.
