Since 2003, the Manteca Mural Society and its artists have been beautifying downtown Manteca with larger-than-life Murals. This is the society's latest achievement and by far the largest - 145 feet wide and 12 feet high.

The mural really is so large, for details we had to split it into three parts

One thing very special about this mural is that it depicts real-life people who for one reason or another became a part of Manteca's folklore.

Another bonus added is the fact that we watched this mural grow over the last six months.

Below are two pictures taken in July 2007 and to the right is muralist Dave Gordon at work in November 2007.

The official dedication took place on March 2, 2008.
