This memorial stone is placed in front of town hall in Ellicottville, NY. The memorial has a plaque on both sides of the stone. The inscription on the first side reads "In memory of all American Veterans. This memorial honors all American Veterans who, although seperated by generations, shared a common, undeniable goal... to valiantly protect our country's freedoms. The memories of these American Veterans will continue to live on whenever and wherever democracy exists. The American Vetran forever a symbol of heroism, sacrifice, loyalty and freedom."
The other side of the memorial is memorialized to those from Ellicottville that served in the World Wars.
The memorial was erected by the American Legion.
