The new clock stands proudly on a corner of the main junction in the village. Hundreds of people drive past it every day. The short clock tower is square and sits atop a stone tower, which rises out of a round, raised flower bed.

Two clock faces tell the time, still perfectly accurately. On the south side, above the plaque, is a solar panel which powers the clock. Seen as very appropriate for the new Millennium no doubt.

The plaque informs everyone that as well as the clock, the villagers marked the occasion with two new bus shelters, 3 new seats, 2000 bulbs planted and the establishment of an archive of village activities.

The village of Endmoor can be found on the A65 between Kendal and the M6 at Crooklands. The village has a bakery, post office, school and various other facilities. It's a five minute drive from the motorway.
