Latterbarrow is often climbed as a fairly easy ascent and a good fell to introduce youngsters to the great pastime of peak bagging.
the walk to latterbarrow is mostly started from Hawkshead, and then gained via Colthouse.
A very prominent cairn adorns the summit,it's more of an obelisk and can be seen from a long way.
The view from the top is splendid, with the Coniston mountains on full display to the SE.with the Kentmere fells beyond, there is also an excellent view of Windermere.
