Frank and Agnes Gustafson founded Gustafson’s Dairy Farm in 1908 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. In the 97 years since, Gustafson's has grown into one of the largest family owned and operated dairy distributors in the Southeastern United States. Located in Clay County, 30 minutes south of Jacksonville, in Northeast Florida. Their roots can be traced to one cow in a backyard named Buttercup, the dairy is now located on a stretch of some 9,600 acres of farmland in the southernmost part of Green Cove Springs.
Gustafson’s Dairy is recognized by The St. Johns Water Management District as a model dairy, winning several awards. Being environmentally active, the company has incorporated waste management into the farm operations. Future planning considerations are to enhance and maintain the wetlands located on the property as well as restore wildlife values. One of the Gustafson’s family core beliefs is, "We are only borrowing the land."
Ma and Pa Gus would be proud!
