The Belle Chasse
ferry landing is just off LA. Hwy. 23, approximately 10 miles southeast of
downtown New Orleans, LA. The
ferry connects the westbank town
of Belle Chasse with the eastbank community of Scarsdale. This site is the second-to-last
crossing on the lower Mississippi River.
