This humble statue was dedicated on Oct. 17, 1992 by the people of
Randleman, NC honoring Richard Petty a local who made it big in the
world of Stock Car Racing. "The King" as he is widely known is the
all time victory leader in Nascar with 200 wins. He is also the
most recognized ambassador of the sport.
