Epworth Hall was built near the shores of Silver Lake in 1892. It is three stories tall and is 50' by 100' in size with a grand two story auditorium that seats about 1000 people. This building was listed in the Historic Registers in 2000 and is currently undergoing major repair and restoration.
It is of open wood beam and frame construction and represents a unique architecture that is well preserved. It is a venue for educational, musical and culture programs.
The architect of Epworth Hall was Otis Dyer, who also was the key architect in the construction of the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Perry, New York (also listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (see waymark code: WM31R9 (
