This spring was named after the wandering buffalo herds that stopped by to drink from it. A large bowl-shaped depression was formed over time because of all the traffic. The source also supplied a number of nearby distilleries in later years.

Located in small park in Stamping Grounds, KY. The town was named for the nearby formation, one of three in the state. See the other nearby WMs for additional photos of the area. I tried the water, and it was not bad.
