FORREST CHASES STREIGHT
On the night of May 1, 1863, General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his troops camped here. The next day, he engaged Colonel Abel Streight in a running battle at Black Creek near Gadsden, Alabama.
Erected May 21, 1981 by the Golden Agers Club of Walnut Grove.
