This is an educational showcase Herb Garden associated with the Burren Perfumery, a famous traditional perfumery which uses and distills the unusual herbs and wildflowers of the limestone karst region of the Burren in northwest Ireland.

The Burren is a unique geological region located in County Clare, northwest Ireland. It is noted for its unique karst topography, which features unusual geologic formations above and below ground and is the source of the dry alkaline substrate of the areas soils. The Burren Perfumery and Herb Gardens are located on the periphery of the Burren National Park and is a showcase of the unique wildflowers and herbs which are typical of this special region. Visitors are welcome to visit and wander the paths of the showcase gardens to learn more about the flora of the area, as well as enjoying afternoon tea while resting on the garden terraces. Visitors may also visit the distillery to see sheaves of lavender and other plants being steamed to extract their scented oils. The final stop is the perfumery room itself, where the delicate oils are mixed and made into the special perfumes that capture the essence of the Burren itself.
