Quick Description: The remnants of a Drive In along I-5 in Salem.
Location: Oregon, United States

Waymark Code: WM317Z

Long Description:
This was a four screen location that closed after a fire in the mid
90s. Apparently the owners were living in an apartment within the
projection/concession building, and an electrical fire wiped out
the structure. The earliest reference that I can find to this
theater is in the early 60s. After closing, the land lay empty for
a couple of years until an 11 screen multiplex went in there. The
property is still a rectangle depressed about 20 feet below the
surrounding terrain, and the southern 2/3 is used for the multiplex
and parking. The northern part is vacant land, with occasional bits
of wreckage from the old installation. The one actual identifiable
remnant is the marquee sign, still standing up on Lancaster Drive.
Current condition: Very little remains (signs, speaker posts, car ramps, screen structure, etc.)
