Long Description:
Melody Cruise-In originally opened in 1952, and is currently owned
and operated by Chakeres Theatres. The theater is open Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday; May through September. They show first run
movies on twin screens for just $7.50, and kids 11 and under are
free. The old posts between parking spots that once held the in-car
speakers are still in place, however they have switched to
broadcasting audio over FM frequencies (107.3 and 103.3). In
addition, St. Paul Lutheran church holds Sunday morning services
here during the summer.
