Located along the picturesque Beamsville Bench, the winery makes full use of its unique location, by taking advantage of a large ravine on its property which drops thirty feet. The ravines sharp drop provides an ideal location for a gravity flow winery. Malivoire use of a gravity-flow operation allows for gentler handling of the wine and results in a far superior product with balance and finesse. The winery also prides itself on using environmentally sustainable practices by avoiding the use of insecticides and herbicides, and choosing to hand-harvest their grapes. Malivoire is well-known for its exceptional Rose, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay which can be tasted in the winery’s tasting bar.

Wine Club Description::
Not so much a club but, as they describe As a small winery, Malivoire frequently produces wines that, because of limited production and short-term availability, will not appear on our website or regular wine list. As well, from time to time we have invitation-only events available exclusively to our list of friends.

Overall Comments::
My wife and I have been frequenting this winery for the past dozen years. It is our favorite of the Niagara region wineries. Our most fond memory is of their 1998 Moira Vineyard Chardonnay. We had been lucky enough to find this wine before it became sought after; buying a few cases when it was less than $20/bottle. Of course as the wine improved so did the price. We kept enjoying it up to about $56/bottle. We do not consider our wines to be investments. We just enjoy them as they are. If you happen across a 98 Moria Vineyard Chardonnay and need some new friends to help you appreciate it – send me an email! Each year we make sure we try this particular Chardonnay
