The Welland Farmers’ Market has been centrally located on the present site since 1907. In 2007 the Market celebrated 100 years of service.

Join in that small town tradition – Farmers’ Market, where local farmers provide the visitor and residents alike with fresh produce for purchase. Like so many communities in Canada, Welland has diverse ethnic roots and its market reflects its heritage.
Waymarker note:
Both my sets of grand parents were farmers from the then outlying areas around Welland. I have many fond memories of coming to market as a young child in the early to mid 1960’s. Selling and shopping did occur though it was looked forward to as a weekly social event where friends gathered.
