The Anastasia Island Conservation Center,is dedicated to the memory of W.I. Drysdale and F. Charles Usina, the founding forces behind the original Alligator Farm, one of the finest and oldest attractions in the state of Florida. Promoting the study of wildlife and the efforts to preserve our natural resources has prompted owner David C. Drysdale, oldest son of W.I. Drysdale, to build the Anastasia Island Conservation Center.
Designed in a style reminiscent of a Florida Cracker homestead with Cypress beamed ceilings, a coquina fireplace and board and batten siding, the new Anastasia Island Conservation Center will allow the Park to hold education workshops, community meetings and events in a comfortable setting.
